Diary of events

We are currently working on a programme of events to include a feature day every few months!

The next dates in the diary are as follows:

Circus Day - 20th February 2019

A day of circus fun, designing clown faces and balloon modelling in the morning. In the afternoon a visiting circus performer will entertain us, and then host a workshop teaching us to juggle and learn other circus skills.

Pottery Days - 9th and 16th April 2019

The chance to learn pottery skills, making a group of hugging figures, a coil pot and a poured slip figurine. In week two we will paint and glaze the fired pieces!

Latin America Day - 18th April 2019

A morning making a Pinata, and a Brazilian feather headdress, listening to salsa music, followed by a visit from an Alpaca! Later on fun in the afternoon with live music, dancing and playing instruments.

Drama Day - 30th May 2019

A play in a day…. A day of fun drama games as we build a story of characters, working with props, costume and music. We will end the day with a short performance to family and friends.

We are also looking into holding regular away days and day trips which you can join on even if you are not a regular member at James's Place. You can find out more about the away days by emailing jenny@james-place.co.uk

We see James’s Place as a perfect setting to promote the world of disability, on so many levels. In the totally relaxed homely, beautiful setting, it offers young people a chance to enjoy what they like at their own pace.
